“I used Building a Community with a 6th grade class in April. It really helped “turn them around.” I guest taught in the class and couldn’t make it through a sentence without interruption. As you can imagine, little to no learning was getting accomplished. By the end of the second day, and LOTS of insightful discussion, there were little to know interruptions. We were on our way to “building a community” with less than two months left in the year. It was a crucial time, as they were off to middle school.”
